Welcome to the official website of
The World's Greatest Travelers
™.

We have just concluded the 6th edition of
The Global Scavenger Hunt™.

We want to congratulate all the Teams that participated in the 2010 around the world travel adventure competition, and especially want to give a big JOB WELL DONE to Zoe and Rainey for winning the 2010 event (again) and being crowned
The World's Greatest Travelers™.

Anybody who wants to read about what just took place over the 23-day event, that took place recently between April 9th & May 1st, 2010, just visit our PostCARDS Travel Blog for all the event highlights and juicy details...

And for all you Indiana Jones (and Janes) who are interested
in participating in our next event in 2011, the dates are already set...
The World's Greatest Travelers™ travel adventure competition is set to take place between April 15th & May 7th, 2011.
(Apply early as space is limited to just 25 Teams!)

Here's what is being said about the event in the press:

Outside Magazine has billed it as, "One of the most amazing trips in the world!" Peter Greenberg has said that, "Unlike The Amazing Race, this challenge is more about your ability to connect with cultures than speed and agility."
Frommer's 500 Best Adrenaline Adventures, which features high-octane experiences for both passionate travelers and adventure seekers, has included
The Global Scavenger Hunt
™ in the exclusive list.
And recently National Geographic said that the event was, "...like Survivor, The Amazing Race and the Eco-Challenge all rolled into one except with much more cultural interaction."

For those wanting to participating in this--said to be Amazing Race-like travel adventure that was actually created before the Amazing Race in 2000--event for real-life travel savvy adventurers, the 2011 event promises to be the best ever. And unlike those cast, and oh so scripted drama-inducing reality TV shows, there are no losers or elimination's on
The Global Scavenger Hunt™; but there is a whole lot of
real life trusting strangers in strange lands on our cultural immersion that will have our passionate competitors seeing and doing more during their quick circumnavigation of the globe than others can only dream about doing!

From start to finish, our travel adventure competition will have our selected group of travelers performing hundreds of hand-on and highly participatory sight-doing scavenges in at least 10 scattered nations around the world. They will not just be passively sight-seeing while accumulating points for completing a series of stimulating once-in-a-lifetime scavenges, they will be doing things from morning until night while visiting extraordinary off-the-beaten path global travel destinations.

Make no mistake, this is not a tour in any way, shape or form. This is not a prepackaged holiday. This not a sleep on the beach vacation. This is not a simple whistle-stop tour of Europe's predictable cities while staying in cheap hotels.
The Global Scavenger Hunt™ is a true travel adventure competition that crowns The World's Greatest Travelers™ in a highly competitive environment based on Teams proving their travel savvy, stamina, and creativity in real world travel situations.

And indeed every participant is a winner just by taking part, because our travelers will all be helping to make the world a better place by each assisting in their own way to help raise funds for some really worthy international humanitarian causes.

The unofficial motto of our annual global travel adventure competition is to "trust strangers in strange lands," and aside from challenging our travelers like never before, and having them meet people around the world in uncommon ways, the true goal of this event is to help raise our million dollar goal to help build coed elementary schools and medical clinics in the developing world, along with helpings hundreds to help themselves with well-placed micro-loans.

Our previous events have helped fund the building of schools in
Kenya, Sierra Leone, Ecuador, Niger, and Sri Lanka, along with the first medical clinic of it's kind in Niger.

Interested in maybe joining our next event in 2011? We urge you to get the ball rolling ASAP as participation in our annual event is both limited to 25-Teams of two, and on a first come first serve basis based on Team interviews...
